woman traveling around New Zealand came home to find a bill from her
wireless service provider totaling nearly $400 for the month of August,
but she hadn’t used her service very much while traveling. The culprit,
as it turned out, was Windows 10.Microsoft
has released a flurry of updates since pushing Windows 10 out to the
public less than a month ago, and the company’s new operating system is
configured to download those updates automatically in the background by
default. The problem, as it turns out, is that many users aren’t aware
of this setting, and the updates continue to download when users are
