Google’s Calendar app is now available on iPhone

Google Calendar for iPhone
Google is continuing its hostile takeover of your iPhone with the release of its Calendar app this week. Previously only available on Android, Google Calendar hit the App Store on Tuesday, giving iPhone users another reason to drag a first-party Apple app into an unused folder, never to be opened again.

Here’s everything that the app has to offer, according to the description on the App Store:
  • A new Schedule View – See your schedule at a glance with photos and maps of the places you’re going.
  • Events from Gmail – Flight, hotel, concert, restaurant reservations and more are added to your calendar automatically.
  • Assists to fill in your calendar – You can quickly create events with smart suggestions for event titles, places and people.
  • Different ways to view your calendar – Speedily switch between viewing a single day to getting an overview of multiple days at once.
  • All your calendars in one, easy place – Google Calendar works with all calendars on your phone, including Exchange and iCloud.
Best of all, Google Calendar for iPhone already works with whatever calendar you’re using on your phone right now.
If you want to download the Google Calendar app, head to the App Store.
